Resumen
The report presented addresses the importance of occupational safety and health at the Prof. León Morra Sanatorium, highlighting the need for a management system to promote safe and healthy working conditions. A detailed analysis of the current situation of the sanatorium is carried out, identifying the lack of an occupational safety and hygiene service and the absence of a management system to ensure compliance with safety
standards in the workplace. In addition, the relevance of the implementation of preventive and corrective measures to protect the physical and mental integrity of workers in a medical care environment specialized in mental health is highlighted.
The importance of promoting a safety culture and actively involving all levels of personnel in the identification and resolution of occupational health and safety problems is highlighted. Likewise, the creation of a management system that includes policies, procedures and protocols to guarantee a safe and healthy work environment is proposed. A detailed plan is proposed for the design and implementation of an Occupational
Health and Safety Management System at the Prof. León Morra Sanatorium, establishing specific objectives such as regulatory compliance, accident prevention, promotion of a safety culture, and continuous improvement. Also, it is suggested that a professional specialized in occupational safety and hygiene be hired to lead the implementation of the system. The necessary resources, staff responsibilities, procedures and protocols to follow
are detailed, and an annual training schedule is established to guarantee adequate trainingof staff. Finally, continuous evaluation and improvement measures are proposed, including performance indicators, internal audits and periodic review of the system.
