Hub aéreo de Córdoba

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la viabilidad económica y operativa del Aeropuerto Internacional de Córdoba como hub logístico regional para el comercio internacional, analizando sus ventajas competitivas y su capacidad para mejorar la conectividad en comparación con el principal aeropuerto del país (Ezeiza).

Mediante un enfoque metodológico mixto, que combinó el análisis de fuentes secundarias con una entrevista a un especialista en logística, se exploró el potencial de Córdoba para descentralizar las operaciones logísticas nacionales y optimizar los procesos de exportación e importación.

Utilizando al sector vitivinícola argentino como caso de estudio, se compararon costos, tiempos de tránsito y desafíos logísticos específicos, evidenciando las ventajas y limitaciones del transporte aéreo en el contexto actual.

Los resultados obtenidos indican que Córdoba posee un potencial significativo para convertirse en un hub logístico, siempre y cuando se realicen las inversiones necesarias en infraestructura y se implementen políticas que fomenten la conectividad aérea. Sin embargo, se destaca la necesidad de una visión estratégica a largo plazo y una mayor colaboración entre el sector público y privado para alcanzar este objetivo.

En conclusión, el desarrollo de Córdoba como hub logístico no solo fortalecería la posición de Argentina en el comercio internacional, sino que también promovería el crecimiento económico regional y nacional, generando nuevas oportunidades de negocio y empleo.

The objective of this study was to analyze the economic and operational feasibility of Córdoba International Airport as a regional logistics hub for international trade, examining its competitive advantages and its ability to improve connectivity compared to the country’s main airport (Ezeiza).

Through a mixed methodology approach, combining the analysis of secondary sources with an interview with a logistics specialist, the potential of Córdoba to decentralize national logistics operations and optimize export and import processes was explored.

Using the Argentine wine industry as a case study, costs, transit times, and specific logistical challenges were compared, highlighting the advantages and limitations of air transport in the current context.

The results obtained indicate that Córdoba has significant potential to become a logistics hub, provided that necessary investments in infrastructure are made and policies are implemented to promote air connectivity. However, the need for a long-term strategic vision and greater collaboration between the public and private sectors to achieve this goal is highlighted.

In conclusion, the development of Córdoba as a logistics hub would not only strengthen Argentina’s position in international trade but also promote regional and national economic growth, generating new business and employment opportunities.
