Formación docente. Aportes de investigación en una institución salesiana de Ushuaia

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación estuvo destinado a docentes de nivel primario que se desempeñan en una institución educativa de la ciudad de Ushuaia. La misma es católica y pertenece a la congregación salesiana. A través de entrevistas aplicadas a los profesores y directivos se buscó analizar las características de su formación docente y si existe relación entre dicha formación y lo que plantea la institución como requisito de un docente salesiano. Es menester poder analizar la formación de los docentes en cualquier tiempo y lugar, ya qué a partir de dicho análisis podremos mejorar la realidad educativa. A pesar de estar presente en nuestra Ley Nacional de Educación la capacitación y perfeccionamiento permanente, se observaron desajustes de las habilidades profesionales y recursos personales, contribuyendo no sólo a responsabilizar al individuo sino a las políticas públicas que no pudieron afrontar esta problemática.

Abstract

This research project was aimed at primary school teachers working at an educational institution in the city of Ushuaia. The institution is Catholic and belongs to the Salesian congregation. Through interviews with teachers and administrators, the objective was to analyze the characteristics of their teacher training and whether there is a relationship between that training and the institution's requirements for a Salesian teacher. It is essential to be able to analyze teacher´s training at any time and place, as this analysis will help us to improve the educational situation. Despite the inclusion of ongoing training and improvement in our National Education Law, mismatches between professional skills and personal resources were observed, contributing not only to individual accountability but also to public policies that failed to address this problem.
