El papel del periodismo en la lucha contra la violencia económica de género

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo de estudio bajo el método de manuscrito científico se centra en examinar y comprender la problemática de la violencia económica de género y el tratamiento de los medios digitales. Se estudian las diferentes formas de violencia que afectan a mujeres, así como los factores sociales, culturales y estructurales que lo afectan. A través de una minuciosa recopilación de datos, se pretende profundizar en las raíces de la violencia de género y cuál es el espacio que le brindan los medios de comunicación dependiendo la línea editorial. El propósito primordial de esta investigación radica en analizar la cuestión particular y la relevancia de abordar este asunto desde la perspectiva de los medios de comunicación digital. Se comparará el tratamiento de distintos medios, analizando posteriormente el espacio que se otorga en su agenda diaria. Los resultados obtenidos gracias a la contribución de fuentes expertas en la materia destacan la necesidad de involucrar a la comunidad en su conjunto, incluyendo tanto a los individuos como a las instituciones, con el fin de alcanzar un cambio sostenible, siendo los medios de comunicación un pilar importante en cuanto al espacio que se le debe otorgar a la temática. En síntesis, este estudio puede ayudar a debatir y promover sociedades más justas e igualitarias, libres de violencia, siendo el periodismo un pilar primordial para fomentar este tipo de cuestiones.

The objective of the present dissertation, which was conducted through the scientific manuscript method, is to examine and understand the problem of gender economic violence and its treatment in digital media. It explores the different forms of violence that affect women, as well as the social, cultural, and structural factors that influence it. Through thorough data collection, the aim is to delve into the roots of gender violence and the space provided by the media depending on their editorial line. The primary purpose of this research lies in analysing the particular issue and the relevance of addressing this issue from the perspective of digital media. The treatment of different media will be compared, subsequently analysing the space that is granted in their daily agenda. The results obtained, thanks to the contribution of expert sources in the matter, highlight the need to involve the community as a whole, including both individuals and institutions, in order to achieve sustainable change, being the media an important pillar in terms of the space that must be granted to the topic. In summary, this manuscript can be used to discuss and promote fairer and more egalitarian societies, free of violence, and journalism is essential to promote this type of issue.
