Abstract The main objective of this report is to design a strategic waste management plan to optimise resources and reduce the amount of organic waste at Finca La Emilia, located in Colonia Caroya, in the department of Colón, province of Córdoba. Focusing on the vineyard production of the finca, the waste generated during this process was addressed, with the intention of exploring its potential of transformation into a completely organic by-product. The approach is based on the principles of the circular economy, with the aim of avoiding the generation of agricultural waste in Finca La Emilia The main activity of the finca is winemaking, resulting in a significant percentage of grape clusters used becoming organic waste. To address this issue, the generation of biogas as a by-product is proposed as the main idea. The choice of generating biofuel through vegetable waste as a solution is justified by its environmentally friendly nature, economic viability, and practicality in waste management. It is an innovative idea that is adaptable to the current production level of the finca.
