Resumen
El presente trabajo final está basado en un proyecto de intervención–innovación, en el cual se propone el desarrollo de un proceso para el refinado y purificación de paladio dentro del complejo industrial de la empresa Petroquímica Río Tercero (PR3), ubicada en la provincia de Córdoba. El paladio es un insumo crítico que se utiliza para la fabricación de la Metatoluendiamina (MTD), materia prima necesaria para elaborar el Diisocianato de tolueno (TDI), producto principal de la compañía.
Los ejes temáticos sobre los cuales se ha desarrollado el trabajo son:
Proceso para recupero y refinado de paladio: selección de alternativa técnicamente compatible e integrable con los procesos productivos de PR3.
Conceptualización y desarrollo del proceso propuesto: diseño y selección de equipos e instalaciones.
Análisis de viabilidad técnico-económica: evaluación económica y puesta en marcha.
Acorde a los objetivos planteados se aplica una metodología cuantitativa bajo un diseño descriptivo. La información utilizada es del tipo secundaria, por lo tanto, se acude a trabajos de investigación previos, publicaciones científicas, bibliografía e información disponible en el sistema administrativo de PR3.
Finalmente, es conveniente acotar que los resultados obtenidos tras la implementación del presente proyecto superaron ampliamente las metas propuestas, logrando cumplir tanto el objetivo general como los específicos. Este proyecto le permitió a PR3 reducir los costos variables del TDI, afianzar su posición en el mercado local y prescindir de proveedor único a nivel nacional.
The present final work consists of an intervention-innovation project in which the development of a process for the refining and purification of palladium is proposed to be installed in an industrial complex owned by the Petroquímica Río Tercero (PR3) company, in the province of Córdoba. Palladium is a critical input used for the manufacture of Metatoluendiamine (MTD), a raw material necessary to produce the main product of the company, Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI). The thematic axes on which the work is developed are: Process for recovery and refining of palladium: selection of an alternative compatible with the PR3 process. Conceptualization and development of the proposed process: design and selection of equipment and facilities. Technical-economic viability analysis: economic evaluation and implementation. According to the proposed objectives, a quantitative methodology is applied under a descriptive design. The information used is of the secondary type, so previous research works, scientific publications, and information available in the PR3 administrative system are consulted. Finally, it is worth noting that the results obtained after the implementation of this project greatly exceeded the proposed goals, achieving both the general and specific objectives. This project allowed PR3 to reduce variable costs of TDI, strengthen its position in the local market, and dispense with a single supplier at the national level.
