This final degree project was developed based on a problem: children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have difficulties understanding or predicting certain patterns, attitudes, or feelings; above all, social skills represent one of their greatest challenges. These skills allow children to learn how to behave in different social situations, are essential for their development, and help improve their participation in environments, as well as their well-being, happiness, and friendships. For this reason, the development of educational material was proposed to help children with ASD and intellectual disabilities learn to develop their social skills. To achieve this, a unique design methodology was constructed, based on the work of authors Carol Gray and Robert Marzano. It is important to note that the game was designed with the particular needs of these children in mind, aiming to adapt to their learning styles and allowing for customization of the provided material. | |
