Violencia de Genero: Políticas Públicas y tipos de victimización

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar el grado de satisfacción o insatisfacción de las mujeres usuarias de Punto Mujer, programa destinado al acompañamiento, asesoramiento y contención de mujeres que son víctimas de violencia de género. Para esto, primero se definieron los conceptos claves que aborda la problemática estudiada. Luego, se realizó una encuesta que ayudó a responder el objetivo principal planteado anteriormente, la cual dio como resultado que la gran mayoría de las usuarias se mostraron altamente insatisfechas, haciendo énfasis en la falta de empatía, instrucción y capacitación por parte de las autoridades y personal a cargo. A su vez, también consideraron que dichas medidas son obsoletas y no condicen con lo que sucede en la actualidad. También se realizó una investigación acerca de las víctimas indirectas de violencia de género y cómo esta afecta su vida y desarrollo. La información que se encontró resultó escasa y está más orientada a niños y adolescentes. En base al material obtenido, se procedió a discutir sobre la efectividad de las políticas públicas vigentes y la necesidad de estudiar más profundamente la victimización indirecta. Se concluyó que la sociedad ha logrado un importante avance dejando de lado el tabú que genera hablar sobre violencia de género, con la creación de programas y políticas públicas, pero aún hay mejoras y estudios pendientes.

The objective of this study was to analyze the degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction of the women users of Punto Mujer, a program aimed at accompanying, advising, and supporting women who are victims of gender violence. For this purpose, the key concepts that address the problem under study were first defined. Then, a survey was carried out to help answer the main objective previously stated, which resulted in the great majority of users being highly dissatisfied, emphasizing the lack of empathy, instruction, and training on the part of the authorities and personnel in charge, as well as the fact that these measures are obsolete and do not correspond to what is happening nowadays. Research was also conducted on the indirect victims of gender violence and how it affects their lives and development. The information found was scarce and more oriented to children and adolescents. Based on the material obtained, we proceeded to discuss the effectiveness of current public policies and the need to study indirect victimization in greater depth. It was concluded that society has made significant progress, leaving aside the taboo of talking about gender violence, with the creation of programs and public policies, but there are still improvements and studies pending.
