Se analiza el incremento en las tarifas del transporte marítimo, causado por el aumento del combustible, la alta demanda de contenedores, la escasez de mano de obra y el crecimiento del comercio electrónico. Se aborda el auge del e-commerce, implicado en la transformación de las operaciones logísticas, observando las preferencias de entrega y los requerimientos que estas conllevan para satisfacer estas nuevas exigencias, apoyándose en una infraestructura logística que incluye tecnología (como ERP, TMS, WMS, IoT e IA), instalaciones (puertos modernos, centros de distribución ágiles) y la estandarización de equipos, procesos e información. Asimismo, el manuscrito también aborda conceptos como "logística verde", una tendencia clave que busca reducir el impacto ambiental de las operaciones mediante la optimización de rutas, el uso de energías limpias y el desarrollo de la logística inversa. Finalmente, se destaca la transición del modelo "Justo a Tiempo" (JIT) al "Por si Acaso" (JIC), priorizando la resiliencia y el stock de seguridad ante la incertidumbre global, para llegar a la conclusión de que el desafío actual es encontrar el equilibrio entre eficiencia, sustentabilidad y ética en la logística.This paper explores the evolution of global logistics in recent years, emphasizing the need to adapt supply chains to current needs and requirements. It discusses the increase in shipping rates, caused by rising fuel prices, high demand for containers, labor shortages, and the growth of e‑commerce. The rise of e‑commerce, involved in the transformation of logistics operations, is addressed, observing delivery preferences and the requirements that they require to meet these new demands, relying on a logistics infrastructure that includes technology (such as ERP, TMS, WMS, IoT and AI), physical infrastructure (modern ports, agile distribution centers) and the standardization of equipment, processes and information. Likewise, the manuscript also addresses concepts such as "green logistics", a key trend that seeks to reduce the environmental impact of operations through route optimization, the use of clean energy and the development of reverse logistics.
